began over 125 years ago when George Baxter and his wife Margaret set up a grocery shop in the village of Fochabers. Margaret's home-made jams soon became famous for their outstanding quality and flavour. The next generation, William and Ethel continued to expand the business and in 1914 a new jam making plant was built. Ethel's outstanding culinary skills were devoted to developing recipes for soups, many of which are still produced today. The principles and traditions established by William and Ethel have been carried forward by their sons Gordon and Ian and their wives Ena and Margaret, and now the fourth generation, Gordon and Ena's family Audrey, Michael, Andrew and their dynamic management team are taking the business forward with typical Baxter energy and enthusiasm.
